Uri Geller - TV show in Israel

Filed under: Uri Geller — delphi @ 10:06 am

The Israeli psychic, Uri Geller, has a new TV show.

Jewish Psychics - “While the show’s content — illusion, sleight of hand and the supernatural — might stretch a picky viewer’s definition…

Has anyone ever read the book by URI?

Not everyone ‘believes’. To quote “Geller is just a cheap magician which best accomplishment was to bend a tricked spoon in front of a retarded audience long long time ago.”.

My First Psychic Reading Experience

Filed under: Advice and Readings — Chet @ 5:37 pm

Hi.

I just tried the ten minute reading for $1.99 and it was easier and less scary than I thought it would be.

I choose a spiritual healing. After clicking the 10 minutes/$1.99 banner ( on the bottom of this page) I was sent to a page where there were about two dozen choices for readers. On that list page you’ll see a general description of what that person is all about.

You can click to see the details on what they have to say about what they do. There are also comments from people who have selected them. I found this quite helpful. It was good that I checked it out before I selected a person. You can actually see a picture of the person you’d be talking to.

After I made my selection I was sent to the registration page. It was simpe enough. After that, I was sent to the page to add money to my account. Since I had the $1.99 offer I put that amount in the box.

The next screen asked me to verify the amount I selected. That was good because I almost clicked the $30 amount instead of the “other” box where I put in $1.99 (I would have caught that on the next page anyway).

After they Ok’d the $1.99 offer it said they added $18 to my account for free. Apparently the minimum account balance is more the $1.99

My phone then immediately rang. It was the system’s computer asking me if I wanted to make a call - since I did want to try it now, I said “yes”.

Then it automatically tried to call the person I had selected. After about 1 1/2 minutes the reader came on the phone. At all times the computer screen reinforced what was happening and told me when the “timer started”.

Once the reader was on the phone the minutes started to tick. It actually only used about 5 minutes. That means I can call back.

Great first time experince! We’ll see if it helps!

Chinese Astrology

Filed under: Astrology — delphi @ 11:01 am

According to Chinese legend, the twelve animals quarreled one day as to who was to head the cycle of years. The gods were asked to decide and they held a contest: whoever was to reach the opposite bank of the river would be first, and the rest of the animals would receive their years according to their finish.
All the twelve animals gathered at the river bank and jumped in. Unknown to the ox, the rat had jumped upon his back. As the ox was about to jump ashore, the rat jumped off the ox’s back, and won the race. The pig, who was very lazy, ended up last. That is why the rat is the first year of the animal cycle, the ox second, and the pig last.
The Chinese animal signs are a 12-year cycle used for dating the years. They represent a cyclical concept of time, rather than the Western linear concept of time. In the Chinese calendar, the beginning of the year falls somewhere between late January and early February. The Chinese have adopted the Western calendar since 1911, but the lunar calendar is still used for festive occasions such as the Chinese New Year. Many Chinese calendars will print both the solar dates and the Chinese lunar dates.
A cultural sidelight of the animal signs in Chinese folklore is that horoscopes have developed around the animal signs, much like monthly horoscopes in the West have been developed for the different moon signs, Pisces, Aries, etc. For example, a Chinese horoscope may predict that a person born in the Year of the Horse would be, cheerful, popular, and loves to compliment others. These horoscopes are amusing, but not regarded seriously by the Chinese people.
